September 11, 2006 Vienna, Virginia –AAC Inc., a leading provider of network engineering, convergence technologies, information assurance and IP Communications applications solutions, today announced that version 3.0 of the firm’s popular PhoneTop® Messenger Plus application suite has been released. PhoneTop Messenger Plus combines the power of PhoneTop Messenger with PhoneTop Survey. Together these products allow users to send text messages, complete with special ringers, to users of Cisco IP Phones. They also allow the sender to receive back answers to questions via the soft keys on the phones. The survey portion allows organizations to create and issue end user surveys via the Cisco IP Phones. Product enhancements included within PhoneTop Messenger Plus v3.0 include: PAGING FACILITY. This allows users to conduct intercom and live paging actions through the Cisco IP Phone speaker. SENT MESSAGES FACILITY. This area holds a record of all messages sent. This is similar to an outgoing or sent mail box within email. COMMON MESSAGES FACILITY. This area holds special messages that have been previously set up for your organization. These messages might be recurring messages, special alerts, etc. You can now send COMMON MESSAGES from the IP Phone in addition to sending them via the web browser. The system administrator (and, optionally, end users) now has the ability to view the LCD screen of end user’s phones. When sending messages the user may now decide how long the message should remain on the recipient’s phone before being cleared. PhoneTop Alerts is now included in demoware form within the PhoneTop Messenger Plus software. The system administrator has the ability to demonstrate and test out the Alerts product suite on the IP Phone network. The product now uses a new, more efficient installer package. The product documentation (both user and admin guides) have been merged into a detailed, on-line help facility.
