AAC News AAC’s SIF Agent for PhoneTop® K-12 wins 1st Place at Cisco’s ITC Expo April 19, 2004 VIENNA, Virg – AAC Inc., a leading provider of network engineering, convergence technologies, information assurance and IP Communications applications solutions, today announced that the company’s education interoperability XML application suite was awarded first place at the annual Cisco Innovation Through Convergence (ITC) Exposition in San Jose, CA. AAC entered its SIF Agent for PhoneTop K-12 into the exposition and was measured by Cisco IP Telephony User’s Group (CIPTUG) judges against 66 other software partners. AAC’s SIF Agent for PhoneTop K-12 was honored with the Best Innovative Use of Technology Award. SIF, or Schools Interoperability Framework (see http://www.sifinfo.org) provides a method for various back-office information systems within an education system to talk to each other and share common data using XML tags to represent school data.
