AAC's PhoneTop AMBER Alerts is the top news story on Cisco’s homepage
Feb 9, 2004
VIENNA, Virg AAC Inc., a leading provider of network engineering, convergence technologies, information assurance and IP Communications applications solutions, today announced that one of the company’s popular XML applications comprised the homepage news story for Cisco Systems.
The Cisco news article covers the implementation of AAC’s PhoneTop AMBER Alerts XML product for the Town of Herndon, Virginia. This product supplies audible and visual missing children alerts to the Cisco IP Phones throughout the town government offices.
“AAC refined my vision of what we could do with a Cisco IP communications solution,” says Bill Ashton, director of IT for the Town of Herndon, Virginia. “Other firms sold us on the features of IP communications—cost savings, flexibility, scalability—all of which we needed. AAC presented all of those things, but also showed how they could help me solve real business problems and better serve my customers, the employees and citizens of Herndon.”
