IDG news story spotlights AAC PhoneTop® applications
Dec 9, 2003

VIENNA, Virg – AAC Inc, a leading provider of network engineering, convergence technologies, information assurance and IP Communications applications solutions, today announced that the company’s XML applications were highlighted in a news article released today by IDG.

The IDG news article is entitled “Cisco aims high in converged communications.” An extract from article states:

AAC Inc., in Vienna, Virginia, demonstrated its PhoneTop XML (Extensible Markup Language) software for an IP phone system in a school. It lets teachers take and report the roll call of a class using the school's student directory, issue virtual hall passes, and carry out other functions via a Cisco IP phone. The software can work on the new color phone as well as on the less expensive IP Phone 7905 and 7912 with different user interfaces. On the IP Phone 7970G, a PhoneTop application can use the large color display to check for pictures of authorized visitors to the school, and "Amber alerts" with pictures can be sent automatically with an alarm when children are missing, said Monica Maher, manager of corporate development at AAC.
