The Navy Connecting Technology Conference was held in Virginia Beach, Virginia from May 14-16, 2002. More than 100 exhibitors demonstrated the latest technology and services offerings for keeping pace with the ever-changing speed of technology and policy. Cisco Systems supplied an "Industry Tech Brief" during the conference, comprised of technical demonstrations of the latest in Voice over IP technology. In order to demonstrate the full capabilities of Voice over IP technology, Cisco needed to show the use of XML applications. To do this, Cisco demonstrated AAC’s award-winning PhoneTop XML applications running on the Cisco IP Telephony system.
