XML Applications used to Increase End-User Productivity on Cisco Systems IP Telephones
VIENNA, Virginia AAC Inc., a leading provider of network engineering, convergence technologies, and information assurance solutions, today announced that the company’s XML applications were showcased at the Navy’s Connecting Technology Conference.
The Navy Connecting Technology Conference was held in Virginia Beach, Virginia from May 14-16, 2002. More than 100 exhibitors demonstrated the latest technology and services offerings for keeping pace with the ever-changing speed of technology and policy.
Cisco Systems supplied an "Industry Tech Brief" during the conference, comprised of technical demonstrations of the latest in Voice over IP technology. In order to demonstrate the full capabilities of Voice over IP technology, Cisco needed to show the use of XML applications. To do this, Cisco demonstrated AAC’s award-winning PhoneTop XML applications running on the Cisco IP Telephony system.
"Cisco elected to showcase our PhoneTop K-12 XML application products in their tech brief in order to demonstrate to Navy customers the power that IP Telephony brings to both the end user and the administrators," said Doug Bowlds, Vice President of Convergence Technologies at AAC Inc.
