February 10, 2002
XML Applications used to Increase End-User Productivity on Cisco Systems IP Telephones
Vienna, Virginia AAC Inc., a leading provider of network engineering, convergence technologies, and information assurance solutions, today announced that the company’s XML applications are being spotlighted in a new book from Cisco Press.
The Cisco Press book, entitled Developing Cisco IP Phone Services, was published in February of 2002 and, starting on page 5, spotlights AAC’s PhoneTop XML applications and how they helped a customer solve their business communications problems.
The book shows the reader how to create applications that deliver interactive content to Cisco IP Phones. Services on Cisco IP Phones help you enhance productivity, gain the competitive advantage, and even help generate revenue. Services are applications that run on the phone rather than on a PC or a Web browser.
"We were pleased that Cisco chose to spotlight one of our PhoneTop customer success stories for publication in this important book," said Doug Bowlds, Vice President of Convergence Technologies at AAC, "It’s a prime example of how IP Phone services (XML applications) can be used to increase productivity of the end user."
Only three Cisco partners had their XML product showcased in the book, all three of which are slated to demonstrate their solutions during the Cisco Innovation Through Convergence Exposition this April in Dallas, TX.
